A New Era Of Gun Clothing

Let's face it, folks. Gun owners may be great people who have awesome conversations and are really fun to be around, but they've never really been the coolest people on the planet. I don't know if it's because many gun owners are very culturally insular people or if they don't pay much attention to the younger generation, but gun owners seem to be a little bit out-of-touch. That's why I'm really surprised to see them buying such cool shirts these days.

I noticed the change last year when I went to a machine gun shoot in Kentucky. At first, everything seemed normal as I walked around and started browsing all of the exotic guns that were for sale. I love going to the machine gun shoots. It's not just the demonstration of raw firepower on display, but it's also the celebration of gun rights. Then I started seeing lots of gun apparel.

Any large gathering of like-minded people is going to be full to the brim with folks trying to make a buck, and there are lots of booths set up selling and trading weapons. When these booth guys saw those cool shirts with awesome gun art, their eyes lit up. I could see the gears working, and they were very quick to find out where this shirts were coming from.

When I went back to this year's machine gun shoot, I noticed something really funny...there were tons of people who had been obviously influenced by those younger generations running around the previous year. Older guys were sporting cool gun t-shirts that were, frankly, way too cool for them. Booths that were selling awesome guns had shirts hanging up to give away as promotional items.

Luckily for my future down the road, you don't have to look like you live in a shed in the woods to love guns and gun ownership. There was a scary time there when it looked like you had to be a hunter or someone preparing for the apocalypse if you wanted to be into guns. Now that cool gun tees are on the scene, I can look good while supporting my hobby and passion. That makes me feel just a little better about being a gun lover.
