Walt Disney World Resorts

Walt Disney World Resort, located southwest of Orlando, Florida, has been widely regarded as one of the great American vacation destinations since its opening on October 1, 1971. The celebrated realization of recreational visionary Walt Disney's dream, the resort features four theme parks, two water parks, twenty-seven theme hotels and four golf courses.

The Magic Kingdom, with its symbolic Castle of Cinderella is considered the heart of Disney World. With its character themed rides and attraction, the Magic Kingdom is certainly a place where a child's dreams turn into reality.

Epcot center was opened in 1982, and it is twice as large as the Magic Kingdom. Spaceship Earth is its most prominent feature, a structure resembling a golf ball standing eighteen stories tall. This park is a tribute to innovation, technology, and international culture, brought to life with imaginative rides and fascinating cultural attractions.

The Hollywood Studios theme park recreates the magical thrill of film-inspired rides and attractions. Art Deco and contemporary architecture are the basic styles of the 30's and 40's themed hotels.

A fourteen-story tree of life is the symbolic icon of the Animal Kingdom, which honors nature and conservancy. The park offers over 250 species of animals, and several unique attractions.

The two water parks are operated year-round: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, where visitors can snorkel with real sharks and learn to surf; and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, modeled after a snowy ski resort.

Don't forget to take a ride 'Downtown Disney' for premium dining, shopping and entertainment. Disney's Boardwalk evokes the memory of popular coastal towns at the turn of the 20th century and is a hot spot for nightlife and unique shops.

If you love sports, you can't miss the Wide World of Sports Complex, training center for the Atlanta Braves, which hosts nearly 200 sporting events throughout the year. Parades, concerts and shows are a regular feature around the whole Disney World. You might even enjoy visiting a movie theater featuring twenty-four screens and love-seat style stadium seating. And of course, you can't forget the magnificent displays of fireworks offered in all parks each night.

Tokyo, Paris and Hong King are other locations where Walt Disney Resorts have made their home. Disney's original amusement park location - Disneyland in Anaheim, California, also includes Disney's California Adventure Park. In addition to the resorts, Disney offers Disney Adventures and Disney cruises, two other opportunities to make your Disney experience one you will not easily forget.
